PhilCare pioneers use of mobile app for smart phones bringing accessibility and convenience to its members
17 December 2012 PhilCare members can now access a comprehensive and updated list of PhilCare-affiliated hospitals, clinics and doctors with the launch of the PhilCare Mobile App compatible with any devices powered by Android 2.3.3 or higher version.
The PhilCare App, downloadable via the PhilCare website, is a quick and efficient way for members to access the complete and updated directory of all PhilCare-affiliated hospital and clinics. Members can also search for the name, address and specialization of all PhilCare-affiliated doctors and dentists through this application.
PhilCare, which recently celebrated its 30th year in the industry, is the first health maintenance provider to bring this kind of service to its members.
The launch of the mobile app is only one of the many innovations lined up by PhilCare for its members. In exploring ways for our members to efficiently receive easy and accessible health care information, the app provides members a quick, convenient and effective means to access the complete database of PhilCare-affiliated health providers. Hopefully, the PhilCare Mobile App will serve as a quick reference for our more than 200,000-strong members when they need to seek immediate medical attention, said Jaeger L. Tanco, PhilCare executive vice president (EVP) & chief operations officer (COO).
Designed to function as a PhilCare members quick access to more than 700 affiliated hospitals and clinics and over 14,000 licensed physicians and dentists, the app features five options containing the complete list of PhilCare-affiliated providers.

As we celebrate PhilCares first 30 years, we will continue to innovate the way we do our business in order to ensure convenience and good customer service for every PhilCare member.
